Guidelines

The following guidelines are followed in the selection of awardees for the endowment Medals/Prizes:-

  • From among the students of the final year, those students who have failed at any time and or have taken the Repeat Examination, shall be excluded for consideration;

  • From among the others, only those who have offered all the courses in a given area as decided by the Faculty related to the main subject, are to be considered;

  • From the list of such eligible candidates, the top five scoring the highest grade point average in all these courses shall be prepared and the list shall be given to a committee of regular faculty members who have taught those courses;

  • From out of the short-listed five students the Faculty Committee shall collectively recommend the best student who deserves the award of the gold medal in the subject concerned. The decision of the Faculty Committee shall be final. The norms on which the selection is finally made is to be determined by the Faculty Committee itself. However, the all round involvement in academic, co-curricular, S.B.A., Hostel and related activities and the time devoted thereon shall be a legitimate consideration if that boy/girl comes in the five selected on CGPA basis. Of course, conduct and character shall also govern the final choice.
