Moot Court activities are a thrust area of the NALSAR Legal Education. The University strives to integrate the theory and practice of Law in campus settings through moot court activities. The mooting activity in NALSAR is a serious business with a stiff competition among the students to be part of the mooting teams.
The moot court activities are coordinated by the faculty adviser in charge of moot courts and other faculty also help students in preparing for moot court competitions held in different parts of the country.
NALSAR University already organised one of the major Moot Court competitions - sponsored by the Bar Council of India. NALSAR University students have made an impact in major moot court competitions held at Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and Trivandrum, in All India Moot Court Competition of the Bar Council of India, Challa Kondiah Memorial Moot Court, Raj Anand Memorial Moot Court competitions to name a few.
A special programme to augment their skills for Moot Court as well as for their practice - `skills for advocacy' is being introduced from the current semester. A full-fledged Moot Court hall with state of the art recording facilities will be in place during the year.
