— Medical college — Entrance examination for admission to postgraduate course (MDS) — Fairness and transparency — Dental Council of India, Medical Council of India or other such authorities concerned should fix in sufficient advance approximate dates during which examination is to be held in various colleges and should see that irregularities are avoided — Dates should be fixed in advance of advertisement, availability of application forms and final receipt of the forms — In the instant case, examination was conducted by the college in a haphazard and hasty manner — Held, examination was not fair and transparent — Head of the Deptt. of Dentistry, AIIMS to conduct a fresh merit assessment test of all the applicants who had applied for admission pursuant to advertisement issued by the College, (2006) 6 SCC 268
