Discharge

— Probationer — Discharge order, if on facts stigmatic — Discharge order mentioning several instances of unauthorised absence of probationer trainee constable from training centre and concluding therefrom that he was not interested in the training and had no respect for discipline — The order further stating that therefore he was unsuitable for the Police Department — No allegation of moral turpitude or misconduct and no enquiry preceding the discharge order — Such an order of discharge, held, strictly in terms of R. 10 of W.B. Recruitment Rules for Constables, 1992, and not stigmatic, (2006) 6 SCC 453
